FC 27 Wonderkids by Position — Best Young GK, CB, Midfielders, Wingers and Strikers
WonderkidsMost FC 27 wonderkids lists are sorted by potential, which is great for bragging rights and terrible for squad building. Follow one blindly and you end up with four future Ballon d'Or wingers and nobody to play centre-back.
This guide takes the under-21 data from the FC 27 squad file and sorts it by position, with three tiers for every budget: a ready-now option for big clubs, a value pick for mid-table sides, and a cheap long-term project for lower-league saves.

Defenders: sign them first, because there are so few
Look at the grid again. Among the highest-potential under-21s there are only two centre-backs and one goalkeeper. Attacking talent is everywhere; elite young defenders are not. If you only make one wonderkid signing in your first window, make it a defender.
- Pau Cubarsí (19, Barcelona) is already a finished ball-playing centre-back: 85 DEF, 78 pace, and Pinged Pass+ backed up by Long Ball Pass and Aerial Fortress. He is priced for elite clubs only.
- L. Vušković (19, Brighton) is the opposite profile: 54 pace, but 83 DEF, 82 PHY, Aerial Fortress, Precision Header and Acrobatic. Pair him with a quicker partner. His contract runs to 2031, so renewals are not an early worry.
- F. Hellstern (18, GK) plays for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the 2. Bundesliga, which makes negotiations much easier than prying a keeper out of a top-flight club. His +20 growth is a lot for a goalkeeper.
- For full-back, Kharebashvili (17, LB, Başakşehir) has 82 pace already. His 63 DEF needs minutes, so play him in cup games early.
Midfielders: decide the role before the name
Two players listed as CM can play completely differently, so pick the job first.
- João Neves (21, PSG) is the complete package: 84 PAS, 87 DRI, 86 DEF, 82 PHY and Tiki Taka+. At an estimated €120M he is a statement signing.
- V. Froholdt (20, Porto) is a box-to-box engine with Block, Anticipate, Press Proven and Relentless. His 78 DEF and 80 PHY let him cover any midfield slot.
- In the holding role, A. Bouaddi (18, Man City) and Marc Bernal (19, Barcelona) are close. Both have Intercept and First Touch; Bernal has the bigger growth gap (+10).
- On a budget, K. Eichhorn (16, Leverkusen) goes from 68 to 88 potential. At 16 he has years of development ahead.
- In the number 10 role, A. Güler brings 85 PAS and Dead Ball, which makes him your set-piece taker too. Rodrigo Mora (Roma) has Trickster and Gamechanger but just 41 PHY, so protect him with a physical partner.
Wingers and strikers: filter by pace and contract
Wide players are the deepest pool, so use pace and contract length to narrow the list.

- Y. Diomande (Real Madrid) has 93 pace and Quick Step+, the fastest profile on the list. His 2033 contract means Madrid will not sell cheaply.
- M. Albert (17, Dortmund) has +22 growth and a contract that expires in 2027. If Dortmund do not renew during your first season, he becomes a pre-contract target.
- Up front, E. Kroupi (Bournemouth) is a pure finisher with Finesse Shot, Power Shot and Low Driven Shot. F. Camarda (18, Milano FC) is the cheapest striker wonderkid here at an estimated €5.7M.

- Lock down a centre-back or goalkeeper early. High-potential young defenders are rare, and the market does not refill quickly.
